Game Disc Resurfacing Service

Are your games so scratched they won’t play anymore? There may still be hope. Send them in to our shop to have them resurfaced. Here is some information before you contact us.

Typical discs have 3 layers. A label layer, which is usually the title of the game with an image on the top of the disc. There is then a reflective layer, which is a coating that protects the top of the data and allows the laser of your console to reflect back onto the date. Lastly, the data layer. This is where all of your game data is and is how the game runs.

If your discs have a lot of light scratches and don’t look “deep” this servicer is probably for you. This is because these scratches are on the REFLECTIVE layer of your disc. This is the layer that is able to be resurfaced and made smooth again, allowing the laser to “see” your disc better without having all of the scratches distorting its view. These are the types of discs we can repair and sometimes almost renew entirely.

If your discs have “deeper” scratches, there is a limited chance of saving them. This is because the scratch may have reached down into the data later and destroyed data. We may be able to try and buff these, but we also cannot resurface so much to where we completely remove the reflective layer and leave the data layer exposed.

If your disc has scratches to the label layer, we cannot resurface this area. You never want to remove a label of a disc, it can cause imbalance in the drive and may make it unreadable, if it is not already by deep scratches. If it still works, better to leave it exactly how it is or purchase a replacement.

If your disc is cracked in anyway or has disc rot, this disc is not able to be salvaged.
